Send a recipe straight to Fornetto
Found a recipe in Safari, Instagram or anywhere else? Share it to Fornetto and it opens already importing, instead of you copying the link across.
Android
Nothing to set up. Once Fornetto is on your home screen it appears in the share menu on its own — tap Share, pick Fornetto, and the recipe starts importing.
iPhone
iPhones don’t let a web app add itself to the share menu, so this one is a Shortcut you add once. It takes about two minutes and then Fornetto is in the Share menu everywhere, exactly like a normal app.
Open the Shortcuts app (it comes with every iPhone) and tap + to start a new one.
Add the URL Encode action and set what it encodes to Shortcut Input (tap the blue word in the action to choose it). This keeps a link with & in it whole on the way into Fornetto.
Add the Text action underneath. Paste the address below into it, then tap URL Encoded Text on the keyboard bar so it sits on the end.
Add the Open URLs action underneath that. It picks up the text above it by itself.
Open the shortcut’s details (the ⓘ button), turn on Show in Share Sheet, and set what it accepts to URLs only.
Name it Add to Fornetto and tap Done. It is now in the Share menu.

Not worth the bother? Copy the recipe’s link, open Fornetto, tap Add, Paste a link and paste it into the box — same result, one more tap.
